But KC struck for three runs in the bottom of the ninth to tie it and get Day pulled. Bill Holland got out of the inning but in the bottom of the tenth KC followed up with three singles and BJ Serrel scored on a Newt Joseph rbi hit to give the Monarchs a huge come from behind walk off win over New York. Leon Day went 8.2 innings for NY and gave up 6 hits, 3 runs, 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. Bill Holland took the loss going 1.1. innings giving up 3 hits and a run.
Bullet Joe Rogan went 9.2 innings giving up 7 hits, 3 runs , 3 walks and striking out 3 to go along with hitting lead off and going 2/4 with a walk and run scored. William Bell picked up the win for KC going 1/3 of an inning. KC led by McNair who was 2/4, triple, run scored and 2 rbis. Ray Dandridge led the NY attack with 2 rbis and going 1/5.
