NY RAngers 3 at Pittsburgh 2. Rangers score two late goals within 30 seconds to beat the Penguins. Mats Zuccarello fires the game winner at 14:02 of the third period.

Boston 3 at Montreal 4 (overtime). The Bruins dominate for two periods , and in the third the Canadiens come back. Rene Bourque ties it at 18:12 of the third, and Max Pacioretty scores the winner in overtime on the powerplay for the surprise come from behind win.

St.Louis 2 at Chicago 4. Brandon Saad broke open a 2-2 tie late in the third period to give the Black Hawks the win. Jonathan Toews added a goal and two assists.

Philadelphia 3 at NY Islanders 4 . Islanders go 3 for 5 on the powerplay to win this one. Claude Giroux scored twice for Philly

Minnesota 3 at Vancouver 2 (overtim) Zach Parise scores in overtime after Canucks tied it late in the third period with the goalie out and the Wild win their first game with new players Parise and Ryan Suter.

Ottawa 3 at Toronto 2 (overtime) Marc Methot scores at 1:01 of overtime right after the Leafs tied it late in the third period .

New Jersey 1 at Buffalo 4 Sabres come out with a strong effort and get goals from Vanek, Stafford, Flynn, and Pominville to win this one. Martin Broduer less than great stopping only 2 of 5 goalie ratings .

Los Angeles 0 at Anaheim 3. Victor Fasth was strong and the Ducks gets goals from Cogliano, Ryan and Getzlaf to shutout the Kings.

Winnipeg 1 at Washington 4 Caps come out on fire and put three past Pavelec in the first period and cruise to an easy 4-1 win. Ribeiro, Laich, Chimera and Erskine scored for the Caps. Jokinen scored for Winnipeg

Columbus 0 at Detroit 1 Gustav Nyquist scores the only goal of the game and Jimmy Howard gets the shutout as the Wings win in Detroit

Tampa BAy 2 at Carolina 5 Tuomu Ruuttu scores three and Eric Staal chipped in two as the Hurricanes take care of the LIghtning.

Florida 3 at Nashville 1. JOnathan Huberdeau scores twice as the Panthers defeat the Predators. Markstrom picks up his first Strat win.

Colorado 3 at Dallas 1 PA Parenteau had a goal and two assists, and Matt Duchense and Jan Hejda each had two points as the Avalanche beat the Stars. Sergei Varlamov was terrific in net for the Avs (5/6 gr) and Kari Lehtonen had a poor game for Dallas (2/5 gr) San Jose 5 at Phoenix 4 Logan Couture scored his third goal of the game at the 6 minute mark of the third to give the Sharks the lead and they hung on to win after being down 4-2. Ryan Clowe had three assists for the Sharks.


Pittsburgh 4 at New Jersey 1 Kris Letang had three assists and Sidney Crosby had a goal and an assist as the PEns best the Devils.

Washington 4 at Florida 5 The Capitals jump out to a 3-1 lead only to see the Panthers fight back to win it . Tomas Fleishman had two assists and Jonathan Huberdeau had a goal and an assist for Florida. Mike Ribeiro and Mike Green each had a goal and an assist for Washington .

NY Islanders 2 at NY Rangers 3 Henrik Lundqvist made some key saves late in the game to preserve the win as the Rangers beat the Islanders. Derek Stepan had two assists to lead the Rangers attack.

Montreal 3 at Buffalo 0 CArey Price picks up the shutout and Brendan Gallagher has a goal and an assist as the Habs beat the Sabres.

Toronto 2 at Boston 1 (shootout) Toronto pretty much dominated from start to finish in the shots in goal category but Tuuka Rask was terrific. Leafs scored twice in teh shootout to win it.

Carolina 1 at Winnipeg 3.Ladd, Burmistov, and Evander Kane all score for the Jets and Ondrej Pavelec plays well as the Jets win at home against the Hurricanes.

Philadelphia 4 at Ottawa 5Milan Michalek had a goal and two assists, and both goalies were not very good (Bryzgalav 3/7 gr, Lehner 2/6 gr stoppred) in a wild shootout in Ottawa.

Tampa Bay 3 at Columbus 1 Tampa dominated from start to just about near the end when Columbus made a push. But Sergei Bobrovsky was outstanding stopping 7/8 goalie ratings as the Lightning pick up the win. Anders Lindmark was also terrific but not as busy Benoit Pouliot led the Bolts with 2 assists

Chicago 3 at Nashville 1 Toews, Oduya and Hjalmarsson all score as the Hawks get great goaltending from Corey Crawford (4/4 gr, 31 saves).

Vancouver 1 at Colorado 2 Matt Duchene scored twice , the last one with just eight seconds left , as the Colorado Avalanche shock the Vancouver Canucks. Both Sergei Varlamov and Mathew Schneider stood on their heads in this game.

Detroit 0 at St.Louis 4 Blues get goalies from Oshie, Pietrangelo, Backes and Jackman as they beat the Wings despite being outshot 36-27. Brian Elliot (6/6 gr) was superb in picking up the shutout.

Edmonton 3 Minnesota 4 (shootout) Charlie Coyle had two points, and Sam Gagner had 2 goals and an assist but regulation solved nothing. Wild needed a shootout to beat the Oilers as Zach Parise and Matt Cullen each scored in the skills contest

San Jose 1 at Los Angeles 2 (shootout) Both goalies were terrific and Anze Kopitar has an assist and the game winner in the shootout as the Kings beat the Sharks in a close one.

Calgary at Phoenix


New Jersey 3 at NY Rangers 8 The line of Rick Nash (2,2), Derek Stepan (2g,1a), and Ryan Callahan (2g,3a)each had two goals for a total of six goals by one line as the Rangers chase Martin Broduer. David Clarkson had two goals for the Devils. Callahan with a big five point night.

Philadelphia 3 at Pittsburgh 1 Flyers get a strong effort from Ilya Bryzgalov and Matt Read had two points as the Flyers beat the Pens.

Tampa Bay 3 at Washington 2. Braden Holtby is awful early letting in three goals as the Caps dominate. But with less than two minutes left and Neuvirth holding the fort for the Caps as the Bolts come back, Washington scores twice to make it 3-2 . But that was all as the Lightning get ouptlayed early and then really turn it on only to see Washington fight back against the flow of the play.

NY Islanders 0 at Toronto 5Leafs put five past a leaky Nabokov and extend their point streak to three games. Dion Phaneuf had two goals and an assist, and Nazem Kadri had a goal and three assists for the Leafs.

Ottawa 1 at Montreal 3Subban, Moen and Plekanec each scored and CArey Price was terrific as Montreal beats Ottawa

Carolina 2 at Detroit 4 Pavel Datysuk scored twice and Justin Abdelkader played a strong defensive game and scored once in a big win.

Columbus 3 at Chicago 5.JOnathan Toews scored three times to go along with two assists, and Patrick Kane scored twice with two assists as the Hawks beat the Blue Jackets. Cam Atkinson had a goal and an assist for the visitors.

Calgary 3 at Vancouver 2. Jarome Iginla’s second goal of the game with just five seconds left, gives the Flames a huge win. Kevin Bieksa and Zack Kassian replied for Vancouver.

Nashville 4 at St.Louis 3.Jake Allen was not good in his Blues debut and Patrick Hornqvist scored twice on the powerplay to give the Predators their first win. Carey Wilson was a key guy for the Preds with a goal and two assists.

Colorado 0 at Minnesota 7. JS Giguere got chased after one period as he let in four goals and the Wild cruised to an easy 7-0 win. Dany Heatley and Matt Cullen each had two goals for the Wild.

Edmonton 2 at San Jose 1. (shootout). Taylor Hall ties it late in the game and then scores in the shootout as the Oilers shock the Sharks.

Phoenix 1 at Anaheim 3 Jonas Hiller stood on his head stopping 38/39 shots (9/9 gr) as the Ducks defeat the Coyotes despite being badly outplayed. Corey Perry and Teemu Sellane scored for the Ducks and Bobby Ryan added an empty net goal.

Dallas 0 at Los Angeles 1. Anze Kopitar scores with three seconds left on the powerplay to give the Kings a huge win. Jonathan Quick was the story for hte Kings making some huge stops to enable the home team to win this one.


Penguins 6 at Islanders 3 . Penguins dominate from start to finish in winning this one. Paul Martin had three points, Brandon Sutter, James Neal, and Matt Niskanen each had two points as the Pens pick up a much needed win.

Montreal 4 at Toronto 1. Montreal gets goals from four different players as they easily beat Canadian rival Toronto .

Buffalo 0 at Ottawa 1 Jacub Silverberg had the only goal of the game and Craig Anderson picks up the shutout as the Senators make a push for first place.

NY Rangers 0 at Boston 2 Bruins dominate from start to finish in beating the RAngers. Anton Khudobin picks up a shutout.

Chicago 3 at Detroit 2.

Chicago’s offense proves to be too much for the Red Wings as Toews, Hossa and Kane all score to give the Hawks the win. Crawford was solid in the win.

Washington 5 at Carolina 4. Eric Fehr had two goals and Mike Ribeiro had two assists as the Capitals beat the Hurricanes at home. Eric Staal and Alexander Semin each had three points in vain for the home team.

Nashville 4 at Columbus 1. Steve Mason let in two bad outside shot goals by Craig Smith than sunk the hopes of the Blue Jackets.

Florida 6 at Tampa Bay 1. Florida dominates from start to finish as JOnathan Huberdeau has three assists and Marcel Goc had a goal and two assists. Six different guys scored for the Panthers.

Winnipeg 5 at St.Louis 4.Jake Allen was not his best and the Jets took advantage. He stopped only 4/7 GR, and Dustin Byfuglien scored twice to lead the Jets to the win.

Vancouver 2 at Edmonton 4. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had a goal and two assists and Taylor Hall had 1g1a to lead the Oilers attack. Nothing seemed to go right for the Canucks.

Colorado 4 at Calgary 2 Ryan O’Reilly had a goal and an assist and both Tyson Barrie and Milan Hejduk each had two assists as the Avs beat the Flames.

Anaheim 4 at San Jose 1. Andrew Cogliano and Ryan Getzlaf each had two goals as Anti Niemi was not his best as the Ducks beat the Sharks.

Minnesota 3 at Los Angeles 1. Niklas Backstrom was solid and Clutterbuck, Parise and Heatley score as the Wild move to 4-0 this season.

Phoenix 1 at Dallas 4. Louis Eriksson had 2 goals and an assist and Jamie Benn had 1 g, 1 a to lead the Stars to their first victory

Toronto 3 at Buffalo 4. Thomas Vanek scores his second of the game in overtime to help the Sabres knock the Leafs out of the playoffs. Jay McClement scored twice for Toronto.

Carolina 3 at Florida 5. Florida scores four times in the third period as Justin Peters was not good (2/7 gr) and the Panthers secure a playoff spot. Tomas Kopecky (1 SH) and Jonathan Huberdeau each scored twice.

Detroit 3 at Nashville 5 Jonas Gustavsson stunk up the joint (1/4 gr), and the Predators score five times for a big win. Bobby Butler was the unlikely hero scoring twice for the Preds.

St.Louis 5 at Columbus 2. Brian Elliot outplays Bobrovsky by a long shot and the Blues get two goals in his first game from Jay Bouwmeester. Alex Steen also scored twice for the Blues as they clinch a playoff spot

Washington 0 at Chicago 4. Victor Stahlberg had two goals and an assist and Ray Emery was a perfect 5/5 gr to pick up the shutout as the Hawks finish the year 5-0.

Minnesota 3 at Calgary 2. Parise, Setoguchi and Brodziak all score and Darcy Kuemper was terrific in his first start as the Wild beat the Flames to end their season.

Los Angeles 2 at Phoenix 1 (shootout) Anze Kopitar scores late in the third and again in the shootout as the Kings beat the Coyotes. Both Mike Smith and Jonathan Quick were solid in this game.

NY Islanders 4 at NJ Devils 3 Frans Nielsen gets a hat trick plus one assist as the Islanders beat the Devils. Kyle Okposo chipped in three assists. Evgeni Nabokov was outstanding for the Islanders.

Vancouver 4 at Anaheim 5 (shootout) Anaheim perfects their seasonl with a big win over Vancouver. Ryan Getlaf scored twice for the Ducks and Mayson Raymond had a pair for the Canucks.


PLAYOFFS – FIRST ROUND


#1. Sharks 2 at Kings 3. Anze Kopitar scores at 3:51 of ovetime to pick up his third point of the game to give the Kings the victory in game one. Logan Couture scored twice for the Sharks.

#2. Kings 0 at San Jose 2. Kings out shoot the Sharks 38-26 but Anti Niemi was perfect (5/5 gr) and the Sharks take game two.

#3. Sharks 1 at Kings 3. Kings put in a dominant performance and win game three. Anze Kopitar, Dustin Penner and Dustin Brown all scored for the Kings

LA WINS BEST OF THREE SERIES 2-1


#1. Ottawa 2 at Boston 3 (2 OT). Tyler Seguin scores at 4:57 of double overtime as the Bruins defeat the Senators after getting badly outshot in Boston.

#2. Boston 2 at Ottawa 1. Boston scores two goals in the last five minutes to steal a victory in Ottawa. Zdeno Chara scores the game winner with just 8 seconds left on his own rebound.

Boston wins best of three series 2-0


#1. Pittsburgh 3 at Philadelphia 2 (overtime) Pascal Dupuis scores at 18:12 of the first overtime to give the Penguins the victory. James Neal had two goals for the Pens and Wayne Simmonds had two for the Flyers.

#2.Philadelphia 1 at Pittsburgh 5 Chris Kunitz tallies a hat trick and Kris Letang chips in three assists as the Pens eliminate the Flyers.

Pittsburgh wins best of three series 2-0


#1. Edmonton 5 at Colorado 4 (Overtime) Jeff Petry scores at 8:28 of overtime as the Oilers take game one. Nial Yakupov forced overtime with a powerplay goal with just 47 seconds left in the game. Jamie McGinn and JOhn MItchell scored twice for Colorado and Sam Gagner scored twice for the Oilers. Semyon Varlamov will probably not play game two after stopping just 3/6 gr . Devin Dubnyk was solid for the Oielrs (9/12)gr.

#2.Colorado 2 at Edmonton 4. Oilers really come hard at the Avalanche and JS Giguere. They get goals from four different scorers in winning this one and the series.

Edmonton wins best of three series 2-0

#1. St.Louis 3 at Nashville 2 (Overtime) Alex Steen scores 3:03 into overtime to give the Blues a come from behind victory. Nashville took a quick 2-0 lead in the first period , but St.Louis scored twice in the third to tie it.

#2. Nashville 3 at St.Louis 5. Vladimir Tarasenko scored twice and Chris Stewart chipped in three points as the Blues beat the Predators.

St.Louis wins best of three series 2-0

#1.Tampa Bay 3 at Winnipeg 2 Lighting score three early and then hang on for the a one goal victory. Marty St.Louis and Steve Stamkos each had two points.

#2. Winnipeg 1 at Tampa Bay 6. Tampa gets goals from six different players in defeating the Jets. Steven Stamkos and Marty St.Loius each had three points for the Lightning.

#3. Boston 1 at Montreal 0. Dougie Hamilton scores on an outside shot midway through the third period to break open a close goaltenders battle. Tuuka Rask stopped 4/4 goalie ratings and CArey Price was 6/7 as the Bruins outshot the Habs 39-30.

#1. Pittsburgh 2 at NY RAngers 1. Sidney Crosby scores at 10:10 of the third period as the Penguins win a close one against the Rangers in a very even hockey game.

#2. Rangers 3 at Pittsburgh 2 (overtime). Paul Martin tied it with just 34 seconds left with the goalie pulled to put this game into overtime. Another late goal by the Penguins really hurts the Rangers. But Ryan Clowe on the powerplay at 9:01 gives the Rangers the win and forces a deciding game.

#3.Pittsburgh 4 at NY Rangers . Chris Kunitz gets a goal and two assists as the Pens get goals from four different scorers and three different lines to win the series.

#1. Tampa Bay 4 at Florida 2. Marty St.Louis scored twice and Ben Bishop was outstanding stopping 9/10 goalie ratings as the Lightning take game one of the series

#2. Florida 1 at Tampa Bay 6. Lightning score on their first two shots and go on to easily beat the Panthers. Victor Hedman and Vinny Lecavalier each had a goal and an assist to lead the Lightning.

Tampa Bay wins best of three series 2-0.


#1. St.Louis 6 at Chicago 2 Corey Crawford was 0/4 on goalie ratings to start the game and got yanked. Hawks dominated in shots but not in score. Jay Boumeester and Andy McDonald each had two goals, David Backes had 4 assists and Alex Steen had three points as the Blues take game one.

#2.Chicago 4 at St.Louis 0. Michael Frolik had two goals and Patrick Kane and Bryan Bickell one each as the Hawks dominate from start to finish. Corey Crawford makes up for his poor performance in game one getting the shutout.

#3. St.Louis 0 at Chicago 4. Blues absolutley dominated for two periods outshooting Chicago 37-13. But Corey Crawford made up for his game one debacle and stopped all 37 shots. Hawks Patrick Kane then scores twice in the third to put away the game and the series.

Chicago wins best of three series 2-1.


#1. Los Angeles 2 at Anaheim 1DRew Doughty and Mike Richards each score as the Kings win game one of the series

#2. Anaheim 1 at Los Angeles 2 (Overtime) Both goalies were terrific in this one. Justin Williams scores at 2:45 of overtime to give the Kings the victory. Anze Kopitar was a stud all game long had the other Kings goal. Viktor Fasth was 7/7 on goalie ratings in this one and Jonathan Quick was 7/8 as the goalies stole the show.

#1. Edmonton 1 at Minnesota 2 . Oilers out shoot the Wild 46-28 but Niklas Backstrom stood tall stopping 9/10 goalie ratings as the Wild takes game on on the strength of goals by Jonas Brodin and Cal Clutterbuck

#2. Wild 0 at Edmonton 2. Devan Dubnyk was terrific stopping 31 shots (6/6 gr) as the Oilers come back to tie the series. Shawn Horcoff and Nail Yakupov scored for Edmonton.

#3. Edmonton 1 at Minnesota 2 Wild play their best game of the series and totally dominate on the shot clock. Wild outshoot the visiting OIlers 46-15. Devin Setoguchi has the winner for the Wild.

ROUND THREE PLAYOFFS- CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP




#1. Tampa 1 at Boston 3. Boston just proved to be too much for Tampa on this night. Seguin, Peverley and Lucic all scored and Tuuka Rask (31 saves, 7/8 gr) was terrific as the Bruins win game one.

#2. Boston 1 at Tampa Bay 4.Bruins dominate the first outshooting the Lighting 14-7 but score was 7-7. From them on it was all Tampa and the Lightning go on to win game two 4-1. Vinny Lecavalier had three points to led the Lightning. Ben Bishop was perfect on goalie ratings and stopped 31 pucks.

#3. Tampa Bay 2 at Boston 1. Tampa shocks Boston by outplaying them badly in the first period. But the Bruins dominate the second and third only to be stopped by Ben Bishop.Bishop stops 41/42 shots and 8/9 gr as Marty St.Louis scores on the powerplay mid way through the third to give the Lightning the series. Tuuka Rask was terrific for the Bruins stopping all 7 gr but it was not enough.

Tampa Bay wins best of three series 2-1.

#1. Wild 2 at Los Angeles 1. Niklas Backstrom stole the show stopping 41/42 shots as the Wild shock the Kings in game one. Pierre Marc Bouchard and Mat tCullne scored for the Wild.

#2. Los Angeles 1 at Minnesota 4.Minnesota outshoots the Kings 55-13 in totally dominating game two to win the series. Devin Setoguchi had two goals for the Wild who now face Chicago.

CONFERENCE FINALS


#1. Tampa 2 at Pittsburgh 1 (Overtime) Tampa continues to shock all the giants. Tonight Steven Stamkos scores at 7″09 of overtime to give the Lightning a 1-0 series lead.

#2.Pittsburgh 2 at Tampa Bay 3 (Overtime) Vinny Lecavalier scores 28 seconds into overtime as the LIghtning shock the Pens and win the series. Tyler Johnson led the Tampa attack with a goal and an assist. Ben Bishop was also strong as the Lightning advance to the Stanley Cup final.

Tampa Bay wins best of three series 2-0.

#1. Minnesota 4 at Chicago 3. Another shocking first game to start the conference finals. Minnesota jumps out to a 3-0 lead and then hangs on for the win. Jason Pominville scored twice for the Wild and Brandon Saad scored twice for Chicago.

#2 Chicago 1 at Minnesota 2 (Overtime) Zach Parise scores on an outside shot as everything went wrong for the Hawks. They had zero puck luck in this game and the Wild win the series in a surprising manner.

STANLEY CUP FINAL 




#1. Tampa Bay 3 at Minnesota 2. Ben Bishop was strong and Marty St.Louis scores late in teh third period to give the Lightning the victory.

#2. Minnesota 1 at TAmpa Bay 2 Ben Bishop stopped all 6 goalie ratings and 39 shots in total as the Tampa Bay Lightning defeat Minnesota to win the Stratomatic Stanley Cup in two straight games.
