Strat Memorial Cup Stats & Standings


Kelowna 0 at Ottawa 2
Kelowna continues to struggle to score goals despite outshooting its opposition , even in Strat. Rockets out shoot the 67’s 33-26 but Ottawa gets goals from Akeson and a powerplay marker from Bickell to win this one 2-0

Rimouski 2 at London 0
London totally dominates this hockey game outshooting Rimouski 33-19 and out chancing them 9-5. But Rimouski had the best two players on the ice. First star Sidney Crosby scores twice, and goaltender Cedrick Desjardins stops all 9 goalie ratings to lead the visitors to the win. Corey Perry had 9 shots, 5 of them goalie ratings, but could not score to earn the third star.

London 4 at Kelowna 1
Corey Perry and Danny Fritsche each had a goal and an assist as the Knights outshoot the Rockets 30-21.

Ottawa 4 at Rimouski 2
Ottawa gets goals from four different players and Brad Staubitz has two assists as the Ottawa 67’s defeat the Oceanic. Sidney Crosby was held to just one powerplay goal but also picked up a pair of minors.

Kelowna 2 at Rimouski 1
Derek Yeomans never played in the real Memorial Cup playdowns in London as he was hurt in the WHL final vs. Brandon. But he was the key to tonights game vs. Rimouski. Yeomans stops all 4 goal ratings and 30 shots as the Kelowa Rockets defeat Rimouski 2-1. Sidney Crosby had 4 shots (1 goalie rating) vs Kelowna but could not find the back of the net. Youngster Chris Ray was the hero scoring early in the third period for the game winner.

London 4 at Ottawa 3 (Overtime) Danny Syvret scored 2:10 into overtime on the powerplay as the London Knights come back from a 3-0 deficit to win this one 4-3. Corey Perry was the big hero for London as he had a goal and 3 assists. London was 3/4 on the powerplay.

PLAYOFFS – Semi Final


 4 at   3 (Overtime)
Justin Keller scores early into overtime at 3:01 to give Kelowna the win and advance them to the Memorial Cup Strat final. Blake Comeau led the Rockets attack with 2 g and 2 a and was the first star. Tyler Mosienko had 4 assists to earn 2nd star.. Derek Joslin of Ottawa was the third star with a goal and an assist.


PLAYOFFS – Final

Corey Perry proved to be the star of the tournament and the MVP for the final game. Perry had a goal and an assist to lead the London Knights to a 3-0 win over Kelowna. London outshot the Rockets 30-21 as Adam Dennis recorded the shutout and was 4/4 on goalie ratings.
