Game 2. Braves at Mets. Strat replay

Rick Camp tossed a complete game shutout at Shea Stadium where the Atlanta
Braves beat the New York Mets 2 to 0.

Camp(1-2) gave Atlanta a solid outing. He didn’t allow much, just 4 hits and
4 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 2.66. Atlanta rapped out 8 hits for
the night.

Game 1 Marathon. Braves at Mets . NLCS

Rick Mahler came through with a solid 10 innings as the Atlanta Braves
defeated the New York Mets in 15 innings by a score of 1 to 0 at Shea
Stadium.

The game was a scoreless tie after nine. Atlanta won the hard fought contest
in the 15th inning. Glenn Hubbard lofted a solo-blast ‘downtown’. Atlanta
ended up with 9 hits for the game while New York had 3.

The victory was credited to Steve Bedrosian(2-0) who went 4 innings, allowing

Game 3. Minnesota at Toronto


Minnesota takes a 2-1 lead in the best of five series.

Frank Viola allowed Billy Gardner to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
as the Minnesota Twins beat the Toronto Blue Jays by a score of 2 to 1.

The game was decided in the top of the 9th inning. After an out was recorded,
Darrell Brown drew a walk. Tom Brunansky got his chance to keep things
going, but he went down on strikes. Dave Engle then drew a walk. Roy Lee
Jackson then had one get away for a wild pitch. Jackson then uncorked a wild
one that found its way to the backstop scoring the run. Neither team was
able to score until the 6th inning.

Viola(3-1) got the victory, allowing 1 run for the game. Jackson(2-1) was
given the loss in relief. He allowed 1 hit and 2 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings.

Houston wins the Strat replay World Series in 5 games

In a game at Minute Maid Park the Houston Astros got by the Washington
Nationals by the score of 4 to 1.

Houston took the lead for keeps in the 3rd inning plating one baserunner on 2
hits. Houston rapped out 7 hits for the night.

Dallas Keuchel(4-0) allowed no runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory.
Keuchel got help from Will Harris who was credited with his 1st save. The
losing pitcher was A.J. Cole(1-2). He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 6
innings of work.

Game 3. Washington at Houston

Houston now has a 2-1 lead in the best of seven Strat World Series.

At Minute Maid Park, the Houston faithful were treated to an intriguing
pitcher’s duel. Charlie Morton(2-1) finally bested his Washington
counterpart, Gio Gonzalez(2-2), by the score of 2 to 0.

Morton put on a good performance. He surrendered only 3 hits and 3 walks in 7
and 1/3 innings improving his ERA from 3.14 to 2.50. After the 3rd inning,
neither team was able to score.

Ken Giles gained credit for his 7th save. Gonzalez took the loss. He allowed
6 hits and 1 walk in 3 and 2/3 innings.

G2. Houston evens up the series heading home

Carlos Correa had 2 base hits as the Houston Astros bested the Washington
Nationals in 11 innings 2 to 1 at Nationals Park.

The score was knotted at 1 after nine innings. Houston was victorious in the
11th inning. After two outs George Springer blasted a solo shot. Houston
had 11 hits for the game and Washington had 4.

Will Harris(3-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing no
runs. Harris got help from Ken Giles who earned his 6th save. Ryan
Madson(1-2) was the losing pitcher in relief.
