Wildcard game AL2019 Seattle at Boston


 Seattle 3 at Boston 2. The Seattle Mariners and the Boston Red Sox locked up in an exciting one-run
game at Fenway Park.  The final score was the Seattle Mariners 3, the Boston
Red Sox 2.
 
Seattle won the game with a rally in the top of the 8th inning plating 2 runs
using 2 hits.  Cameron Maybin kicked off the action when he drew a walk.
Maybin was safe on a stolen base.  Mike Zunino dug into the batters box next,
but he struck out.  One out later, Jean Segura came to bat and doubled
driving in a run.  Robinson Cano stepped into the box and hit a single
scoring the final run of the inning.  Boston made it exciting in the 9th, but
they were unable to push the needed runs across.  
 
James Pazos(2-0) went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Edwin
Diaz preserved the game for Pazos, recording his his 3rd save.  David
Price(1-1) was given the loss.  He allowed just 3 hits and 1 walk in 7
innings.
