GAME STORY
On their home ice the Capitals easily handled the Penguins by a final
score of 4 to 1. Washington scored 3 goals in the second period. EVGENY
KUZNETSOV had two goals for Washington. PHILIPP GRUBAUER was outstanding
in goal. He gave up just a lone goal while facing 36 shots. Other goal
scorers were EVGENI MALKIN for Pittsburgh and TOM WILSON and JOHN CARLSON
for Washington.

Game 3. WAshington 2 at Pittsburgh 4. Pittsburgh gets back into the series with a dominating win. They fire 41 shots at Grubauer, who was outstanding keeping the game close, and score four times to win this one 4-2. Capitals only had 19 shots on net. John Carlson had both Washington goals. Scoring for Pittsburgh were Crosby, Malkin with two and Rust. Pens went 0/3 on the powerplay, Washington 0/1. Grubauer was terrific stopping 15/18 goalie ratings, Matt Murray stopped 1 of 3.
